Welcome to our website! We have two cottages, one is the Lakeside Cottage
(W5757 N. Shore Drive) and the other cottage is Parkside Cottage (W5759 N. Shore Drive) which is directly behind Lakeside Cottage. The cottages are both adjacent to the county park, which consists of 300 feet of sandy beach, a boat landing, campground, picnic area, playground equipment and convenience store. There is also a golf course within a half-mile.
While we currently live in rural Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, we feel a real attachment to the Shawano area. We both graduated from college in the early 70’s and took our first jobs in Shawano. It was there we met, were married, and our three sons were born. In 1983 Ken was transferred to Madison. While living in Shawano and even after moving to the Madison area, we spent many summer days at the county park with our sons enjoying the beach and campground. The location of these cottages is perfect. It provides privacy plus the availability to use the adjacent county property.
We love the Shawano area and believe you would also. The lakes and rivers in the Shawano provide all the water sport activities you would want. There are many fine restaurants and golf courses in the area. Shawano has a vast shopping area and many specialty type shops in the downtown area. There are also two casinos located nearby at Keshena and Gresham. There are several places for hiking and biking. White water rafting on the Wolf River is only a 30-minute drive. We are only 45 minutes from Green Bay which also offers many opportunities for visitors including being home to the Green Bay Packers.
Our cottages are well maintained and reasonably priced. We will strive to make your vacation as enjoyable as possible. We believe you will enjoy your stay in Shawano.
